Name: Obvio Malbec
Variety: Malbec
Region: Mendoza
Country: Argentina
Year: 2010
Price: $13
Shop Review: This carefully crafted Malbec from San Carlos,
Valle de Uco encapsulates the vibrancy and soul of Argentinean life. Obvio’s Malbec excites the eye with its deep
violet tones and tangoes on the palate with an array of red and black
fruits. This is an easy drinking style of
wine to be enjoyed on all occasions, and excellent when paired with meats,
pasta and hard cheeses.
My Review: This wine both smelled and tasted of
blackberries and was slightly dry. It
was good, but it was nothing remarkable because it was so simple.
I had this wine
alone without any food.
