About Me

Hi! I'm Christina, and I am a recent graduate from Virginia Tech! I'm in Northern VA now pursuing a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I'd like to continue what I learned from the Geography of Wine class I took in Spring of 2012, so I'll be posting about different wines and wine events. I would be very grateful for suggestions, and I'm open to expanding my posts to beer and liquor as well!

Tasting - Obvio Malbec

Name: Obvio Malbec

Variety: Malbec
Region: Mendoza
Country: Argentina
Year: 2010
Price: $13
Shop Review: This carefully crafted Malbec from San Carlos, Valle de Uco encapsulates the vibrancy and soul of Argentinean life.  Obvio’s Malbec excites the eye with its deep violet tones and tangoes on the palate with an array of red and black fruits.  This is an easy drinking style of wine to be enjoyed on all occasions, and excellent when paired with meats, pasta and hard cheeses.
My Review:  This wine both smelled and tasted of blackberries and was slightly dry.  It was good, but it was nothing remarkable because it was so simple.

I had this wine alone without any food.
