About Me

Hi! I'm Christina, and I am a recent graduate from Virginia Tech! I'm in Northern VA now pursuing a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I'd like to continue what I learned from the Geography of Wine class I took in Spring of 2012, so I'll be posting about different wines and wine events. I would be very grateful for suggestions, and I'm open to expanding my posts to beer and liquor as well!

Tasting - Into Zin

Name: Into Zin

Variety: Zinfandel
Region: Lodi
Country: United States
Year: 2008
Price: $7.95
Shop Review: Into Zin 2008 Zinfandel is a crisp, red wine with plum, blackberry and black cherry influences.  Its spiciness is just the right amount to balance the fruit, so it isn’t too sweet or too dry.  Pairing suggestions include steaks, lamb, hamburgers and chicken marsala.
My Review:  This Zinfandel is a nice ruby color with blackberry aromas.  Upon tasting it, it has black cherry and jammy flavors with a touch of spicyness.

I had this wine alone without any food.
