About Me

Hi! I'm Christina, and I am a recent graduate from Virginia Tech! I'm in Northern VA now pursuing a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I'd like to continue what I learned from the Geography of Wine class I took in Spring of 2012, so I'll be posting about different wines and wine events. I would be very grateful for suggestions, and I'm open to expanding my posts to beer and liquor as well!

Tasting - Doña Sol Merlot

Name: Doña Sol Merlot

Variety: Merlot
Region: Central Valley
Country: United States
Year: 2008
Price: $8
Shop Review: Everything you’d expect from a California Merlot – classic plumy fruit aromas on the nose with just a touch of spice and tobacco.  Medium-bodied on the palate with plump, ripe fruit and soft tannins that make this an easy-drinking wine.
My Review:  This wine has musty, stale citrus fruit aromas.  It tastes of grapefruits with a dry finish.

I had this wine alone without any food.
