About Me

Hi! I'm Christina, and I am a recent graduate from Virginia Tech! I'm in Northern VA now pursuing a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I'd like to continue what I learned from the Geography of Wine class I took in Spring of 2012, so I'll be posting about different wines and wine events. I would be very grateful for suggestions, and I'm open to expanding my posts to beer and liquor as well!

Tasting - Crucero Chardonnay

Name: Crucero Chardonnay

Variety: Chardonnay
Region: Curico Valley
Country: Chile
Year: Non-vintage
Price: $19.95 (3L box)
Shop Review: Attractive yellow color with some green tones.  Its intense varietal character evokes ripe citrus fruits, with floral and honeyed tones along with well integrated wood.  In the mouth, it is rich, round and fruity with some creamy notes.
My Review: This Chardonnay is pale hay in color.  It has light tropical melon and cantaloupe aromas.  I did not taste any woody flavors as mentioned by the review.  However, I did taste a very creamy and buttery tropical flavor.

I had this wine alone without any food.

    1. I found this wine at the Vintage Cellar in Blacksburg, VA. After briefly looking at their website, it looks like they can ship to anywhere in the U.S. I also looked for the same wine other places online and saw it being sold for $29.95, so if shipping is less than $10, this would definitely be a good deal!

Here's the link to it: http://www.vintagecellar.com/sku31616.html
